I use my factory boost control solenoid which is controlled by my aftermarket ecu. Works great. But I doubt that helps you at all. I have two friends using a profec b and they like it alot. Personally, an ebc that is integrated into whatever aftermaket ecu I decided on getting would be the one I always used.

Manual is never as good as electronic. It can't react to the changes as quickly and there will always be spikes.

ok i want an electric one. now which one should i get i dont see myself switching levels of boost alot. are the electric ones similar to manual with a knob you turn to get more boost? does it read boost? or can you just set it at say 10 and all youll see on your gauge is 10?

I would get electronic... and a profec b is about the best value/price combo you will find. The profec has level settings and you turn the knob to increase/decrease it, but the levels are done by relative values. Like, 10 doesn't equal 10 psi. You have to calibrate it when you first use it to get the levels right. And you'll need an accurate boost gauge, it doesn't tell you what boost you're running.

Eng's seen the magazine where they reviewed boost controllers... profec b, I think, had one of the flattest boost curves. It's also got a high/low button that will switch boost levels. It's nice.. you can run 2-3 psi lower when you just drive around and then just hit the button when you decide to race.
