Bogging help

I recently purchased a 1995 honda civic dx that has a D15B7 in it, i have a problem with when i go driving it is extremely slow, and boggs down if you don't take off (from a stop) with the rpms over 3000, and also if i floor it, it boggs down then starts to go. The upgrades that were already on the car before i got it are a cold air intake, and a 2 1/4 exhaust system form the cat back. If any one has any ideas besides just swapping the motor please let me know. If you need to know any toher information regarding the car please feel free to ask.

Thank you in advance

JT

Re: Bogging help

i had the same problem with my car. my car was off by 3/4 teeth of the timing belt. Check your timing and/or adjust your distributor. let us know if that helps.

Also people will tell you to check the following:
-Distributor Cap/Rotor
-Sparkplugs
-Sparkplug wires
-Fuel Injectors
-Fuel Filter
-Fuel Pump <-- not sure about that one
-IACV (idle air control valve)
-TPS (throttle postion sensor)
-ECU (engine control unit)

There are alot of things to check. i changed all of those before i figured out it was just the timing. But atleast i got new parts for my engine :D
