I've heard that yes, block guards can cause over heating. At minimum, they will cause hot spots.

But so we have other factors out of the way, how long have you been running it prior to overheating?

Overheating about a month now.. Cant figure out the issue..

Well my motors been built/ boosted for about 6 months now.. I have recently changed
headgasket
studs
thermostat( boiled its fine)
hoses
water pump tested( i held the lower hose and it expanded when i gave it throttle)
radiator is brand new..

Its pushing coolant! idk why. car runs AMAZINGGG pulls super hard. but if i push more than 14+ psi it will over heat and force coolant to the overflow.

Is it possible you're lifting the head? Are you running a cometic?

It's quite possible.

The guard really reduces the flow of coolant-

But I would venture away from that seeing how it ran fine for 5 months and now will over heat.

So it only overheats when you get on it?

Are you running a wideband on it? Perhaps the change in weather is causing you to lean out? It could even be something like a fuel pump or injectors.

I was thinking lifting a head, cometics suck for getting sealed right. But after some thinking I don't think thats enough boost to cause you to lift it, especially if you're correctly tightening the head studs (double check them), also, check your AFR and or fuel pressure.
