Default batterry relocation location question

im in the process ofr relocating my battery to the trunk of my car. and on the other forums im apart of everybody seems to relocate their boxes to the passenger side. ive googled to see if their is regulations for NHRA stating it has to be there and just came up with "it has to be properly mounted to the frame". so im curious if theres any other reason/benefit people mount them to the passenger side

my 2nd thought is weight distribution..possibly?

any help is appreciated

Weight? I have always put the battery opposite to me. I have also seen them mounted in the middle of the car. i guess with out corner balancing your car it really doesnt matter. Just drivers prefference. When i dragged raced at MOROSO if your battery was relocated it had to have an outside disconnect switch.
