b16a vs b16a3 distributor question

Default b16a vs b16a3 distributor question
is there any difference in the distributor's from the del sol vtec (b16a3) vs the jdm b16a (sir2)
i went to advance auto and bought a distributor for a 1994 del sol vtec and it wont bolt up to my b16a head, i put it up to a sohc head and it looked like it would bolt right up.

did you get the dizzy for a DOHC or a SOHC. the guys at advanced should have asked....

i got it for a 94 del sol vtec it even said b16a3 dohc on their computer

you have the wrong part. the b16a3 and b16a use the same dizzy. as long as you got the obd right, then it shouldn't matter. try asking for a 92-93 gsr dizzy. should be the same as well.

got the wrong part it was for a single cam.
got the new dizzy in and works fine from a 94 del sol vtec
