b16 shifter rattle and spinning noise( wheel bearing or tranny issue??)
i recently started hearing humming/buzzing/slight rattling coming from the front end of my car, i got under the car and saw that the boots of the axles were torn and leaking grease. i replaced both of them but the car still makes a spinning noise that i can feel through the shifter. clutch seems fine and transmission shifts into all gears but the noise will get louder as the speed increases. even when the car is in neutral and your just coasting you can hear like a spinning bearing kinda noise as the wheels turn. its definitely coming from the front right side where the tranny is so thats what leaves me to believe its either the transmission or right wheel bearing. anyone have idea what is causing this??
forgot to add the noise isnt an rpm issue its a speed issue i can be in 1st and 2nd up to 9k and not hear or feel the vibrating/whirling noise as soon as i am in 3rd it starts and than gets worse on deceleration
dont know if this helps explain any better lmk what you guys think
thanks

no there is no noise when you engage or disengage the clutch its only when your moving and at about 20-30mph you can feel like trans and shifter vibration a little. i could only really describe it as a sound like when you have a loose lug nut, its coming from the right side like in the center of the car

Basically replace all of the bearings whose boot was cracked.

yea both axles are brand new. i thought that maybe i did something wrong on the axle install , i went through and reinstalled the passenger side axle and and now its like a slow chugging knocking noise coming from the center area of the engine bay . before it was a fast knocking?? could this be a faulty steering rack , half shaft bearing?? i dont think it is the transmission shifts fine , doesn't make any noise when clutch is used, like i said before the shaking can be felt throught the shifter and slightly through the center console area,
ps....the car has solid hassport motor mounts (non the less i didnt fell as much vibrating pulsations through the shifter prior to blowing the original alxles that were on the car when i got it)
