B16 check engine light

Unhappy B16 check engine light

Ive got a 92 hatch with a second gen b16a. occasionally when i am hard on the gas the check engine light comes on. does it at different rpms. motor doesnt change pace when it does come on just dont know how to check what code it is, i have a pr3 ecu and i dont believe it has a light on it. any suggestions would be appreciated.

Sounds weird but im thinking its the o2 or a TPS.let me know what it is when you find out.

CHANGED O2 STILL DOES IT CAR DOES NOT ACT WIERD WHEN IT DOES TRIGGER THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT SO I DUNNO

my buddies did that for like a week, turned out to be his crank position sensor.

id check tha code but the ecu has no light on it and ive gotta wait to get some assistance doin it the other way that was described to me. so until then i guess i jsut gotta go easy on it, btw how much is a crank position sensor or tps.

if it's really a pr3 it has a light unless someone went out of their way to remove it.

The should be a two pin DLC plug tucked under the dash on the passenger side. You have to use a piece of wire or an actual jumper wire if you have one and jump the plug. When you do this your check engine light will flash, count the number of flashes, also, if it blinks fast then slow, count the number of fast ones and slow ones seperately. That means it's a double digit code (2 fast, and 3 slow means Code 23). then you have to look up the code, call honda or something. Good luck
