Have you gone back to double check that they are both in all the way. Sometimes they can get caught and seem as though they have gone in. Also where did you get the axles? Can you verify that the part number you were given is correct for your application?

If you put everything back the way it was... then you probably have the wrong size axle on that side.

There is a good chance the axle could be defective. Especially if you got it from Advance Auto. I actually did a job on a 93 accord and put two brand new not remanufactured axles in and they clicked louder than they did before. I removed them and took them apart and inspected them and it turned out the factory did not install any lubrication inside any of the shaft boots so I returned them for new ones and fixed the problem.
