automatic to manual conversion
i am very curious as to what it would take for me to make my 88 accord dx into a manual ...i have no idea of how to do this as this would be my first attempt...i picked this car up dirt cheap and i want to make it into something i can stay awake behind the wheel with...if anyone knows how to do this please give some instruction..i have a picture built in my head about how and what i might need to do fabrication wise but im not sure if im right..someone please point me in the right direction...

Re: automatic to manual conversion
honestly...that platform is not worth anything...hardly any performance parts available...
just drive it as a daily and pick up a 91 and up civic/accord/integra//etc...will be a whole lot cheaper

5 speed tranny
pedal assembly
cluster for rpms
shift linkages
cluch cable
flywheel for motor
etc....prolly run aroung 6-800 just in parts....if you can find them...

Re: automatic to manual conversion
The conversion parts will cost more than the blue book value of the car and you're not going to recover your money back from it. Not worthwhile as a starting platform.
Don't forget the ECU..
