when i start up idles normally. first and second seem to shift fine with little jerking but when it comes to the 3rd gear i can slam my foot on the gas pedal and it RPMs will barely pass 2k. its like its dead and powerless. and sometimes when i stop at a light it will shutter and want to quit on me. any ideas on what sensors it could be like a shift solenoid? i did just replace the trans filter. and it seems like the throttle cables are loose like they have a lot of play any help would be great im good with a wrench but i dont know where to start with this problem. its a 94 gs300 2jzge

94gs300 2jzge engine. forgot about that sorry hahahaha both cables on the throttle body seem to have a lot of play.

any cels? auto transmissions are very sensitive so any incorrect sensor values can cause problems with your shift sequence... are your trans fluid levels where they should be since you replaced the filter? are you sure your filter is installed correctly? ive seen people leave the original o-ring in the filter housing and put the new 1 on the new filter and stuff that in and cause similar problems
