Default Apexi SAFC-II Removal in an Evolution VIII?

Recently picked up an Evolution and it already had this thing hooked up. Since it's practically useless, I was wondering how exactly my car would respond after removing it and how to go around removing it in the first place? I'm taking the car to Mach V soon to get it tuned, should I just leave it in there until then or what? Any input would be appreciated, thanks.

If it is actually changing the tune then the car could go lean with it removed. As far as removing it, it's a simple process. Just follow the wires down to the ecu wiring harness where they are connected into the harness and clip each wire free of the harness. There should be 1 wire that got cut during the install (maf signal wire) . Just splice that wire back together. You probably should wait until you go to Mach before removing it. What are you going to use to tune it?

Thanks for the help bud! One more question... should I go with the lite or the full version of ECMlink? I'm running stock turbo on 24 psi right now. 880cc injectors, cold air, 180 walbro, full 3 inch perrin exhaust and some other odds and ends.

If you can afford it go full if not then lite will do.

I would highly recommend contacting whoever is tuning your car and getting their input. they may have a preference, and/or could steer you in the right direction for what they work best with.

+1 on every comment dont mess with it untill you are ready to tune it. If you remove it you may lean it out to the point of endangering the engine. Boost+lean=UrFucked. But +rep tomorrow for avoiding using that dook ass SAFC.
