Anyone know how to roll mileage back on 89 civic dx(new motor)

Default Anyone know how to roll mileage back on 89 civic dx(new motor)

Considering I just put a brand new motor in this thing I would really like to have the true mileage on the odometer!!!
I need someone that really knows what they are doing!!! Ill pay!!!

The only way is to take the odometer apart, but it's more of a pain then it is worth.

Find a speedometer/odometer with close to the mileage you want it to read.

If it's a mechanical odometer, can it be hooked up to a power drill or something and turn the mileage up until it rolls over and then just keep rolling it up until you get the desired mileage?

yeah. just leave the odometer alone, that'll tell you how many miles you have on the chassis. just write down what the mileage is now after you've done the swap..that way you can always check it out later if you want to know how many miles you've put on the car.
