Anyone help out with an Alpine?
I got a IVA-D100 head unit and I can't figure out how to bypass the parking brake lockout. I've tried a couple of different ways and I can't get it to work. If anyone can help I would appreciate it.

if its like any other in dash, you just need to put a toggle switch in line with that wire and ground. mount the switch somewhere accessible and when you start your car you just have to turn it off and on. But please dont be a dumbass driving up the road watching dvd's.

nah, its not like that. I know how to do that. This one has a wire that goes to the hot on the parking brake and a hot on the foot pedal. When hooked up properly, you push the foot pedal down, apply the parking brake, and then release the footbrake after switching to the dvd. Its really shitty.

i've got it on a single source right now and its not working. i've tried to ground them both. ground one and hook the other to the switch. hook both to the switch. nothing is working for me.

you need two toggle switches, or just buy a tr7. They are preprogrammed with the alpine brake setup from factory.

two toggle switches is pointless, just hook the foot brake wire up normally and the e-brake wire to a switch and ground the other side of the switch. or you could just buy the relay that does the sequense automaticly when you turn the ignition on. PAC audio TR-7.
