i drive this car lightly but I also from time to time like to have a little fun.

The oil light comes on when i'm in the range of 1-2RPMs. It will flicker then I rev and it will disappear. Anyone can help me out on this one. More info will be available upon request.

Want to get this problem fixed before major problems occur.

I hope you checked your oil level already...... replace the oil pressure sensor. See what happens.....

Get an oil pressure test guage and check the oil pressure throughout the rpm range. If it is good than replace the switch. if it fluctuates or drops out, you will need to go into the engine and find the reason.

I dont know what "test" gauge he is talking about..... But I think he meant an actual oil pressure gauge. Yes you can get an Autometer brand oil pressure gauge from Autozone, Pepboys, AdvanceAuto. You have to tap it off that same oil pressure sensor in order to have a "metered" reading.

car gave out today. goes into about a half-ass start. gotta get it towed and shit. PISSED.

Im having same problem as you are. they tell me to check oil sending unit. did that and nothing, drain oil and took out filter, nothing. people say soemthing about a sensor, not sure where that is located and would like help with that. sorry your car gave out. ive driven mine with light on for almost 300 miles for the pass month (not yet DD b.c. of light) i'm going to check up on this thread to see if there is any updates. maybe we can help each other out. gluck

my cam gears broke or some shit like that. Has internal engine failure. Oil lights are nothing to mess with obviously now I know that. I gotta get an engine swap now. trying to find some good ones on this forum
