AMSoil

i was on their site, reading all these outrageous testimonials about the oil adding horsepower and saving engines from damage after their oil pumps seized. Is this oil all its cracked up to be or what? Ive consitantly heard that mobil 1, redline and royal purple were the best...ive never even heard of amsoil. any vouchers?

A guy on s2ki does oil analysis and he said Amsoil is some of the best stuff out there. He's tested them all. Don't count on getting any horsepower, though.

I've used it for the last 6 years or so in all my cars, both engine and transmission. I've had no problems, and it always looks great when the oil is changed.. I know a lot of people who swear by Amsoil products in their jet skis and boats too.

Redline, Royal Purple, and Mobil 1 are also heavily marketed around the world, and Amsoil isn't marketed very agressively, that may have something to do with popularity, I don't know..
