Default alt belt screaming

ok so my alt belt has been screaming so i put a brand new belt on and its still is sqeeking loud. what can solve this problem

belt dressing and make sure your belt is nice and tight, or can do it the boot leg way and hit it with a bar of soap

When you push on the belt with your finger it should only move about a half an inch to an inch.

yea thats all it moves but still does it. ima take the advice and use belt conditioner and adjust it til its tight as hell

Don't simply adjust the belt "tight as hell.' I'm not bashing, but you want to adjust the tensioner to spec, according to a repair manual. That way you eliminate the screech of the belt slipping, and also you don't cause unnecessary stress on the bearings and pulleys.

if you adjust tighten the belt, and it still screams at you, it could be that the pully needs to be replaces because it's glazing over from the previous belt. i used to be a tech at both toyota and mazda and that problem can happen after time.
