Default Aligning clutch with tranny

Besides the actual clutch alignment tool, what is a trick I can do to make sure when I drop the engine in, that it is aligned perfectly with the tranny? I just attempted to drop in my engine today and I can't get it to align with the tranny and it is really pissing me off. Thanks for any input.

It is a lot easier if the tranny is bolted and aligned to the engine when they are both out of the car, then put engine and tranny int he car as one. I have found it to be a lot easier, should not take u any longer then like 20 seconds. I have done this many times. very easy.

Have a friend (if you have any, perhaps your mother?) put your driveshaft in and slowly rotate it as your trying to get things all lined up.

I had someone helping me today with it and I was wiggling it and dry humping it like crazy for one hour. I gave up because it wore all my energy out of me.

I'm gonna give it another shot tomorrow.

For an hour? Maybe something isn't sitting right. Should only take a few minutes. Double check everything, make sure the clutch is the right spline if it isn't the same one as when you took it off.
