alert remote starter/alarm?

alert remote starter/alarm?
i just bought a car that has a "alert" alarm installed... the brain box has no model on it just a FCC ID and a IC number and i need to find a replacement remote any suggestions?

i just want it for the remote start and not have to pay anyone else to install another one figured it be cheaper to find another remote

maybe....but you also dont know for a fact that the old one works. you willing to waste a bunch of cash on a new remote to find out? On an off brand, installed by god knows who, and god knows how well it was installed.

does it have thick wires that plug into the top of the brain? like not the sides like all good alarms, but the top of the brain. if so thats a newer one and there pieces of shit that will more than likely fry your starter because there made by bulldog

it looks like the one in the picture and the bigger wires do plug in one side and it also has the same antenna but all i want is remote start so i might just tear it out theres also a motion sensor up under the dash to

chances of you finding a replacement remote without knowing the exact model number is slim. I would just uninstall it, and put a new one in.

well that system is already interfaced to the right wires, so don't go cutting htem all out. Just unplug the module for now. When it's time to install the new one, look and see what the old wires connect to, those will be the ones you need. Of course you'll have to retest them to determine which wire does what. It will be simple.
