AC gauge showing FULL but not blowing cold
Hey Guys,
I have not really ever dealt with AC systems before. I have had a 90 CRX for six years and have torn it apart and put it back together, but I never dealt with AC. I purchased a 91 Civic Si last summer and put freon in it. It has sat for the last month while I ordered in a radiator for it, and when I got it on the road today the AC was not blowing cold. The light on the dash was on, the fans were running. and the clutch kicked in. I put a can of freon on the larger diameter line at the firewall and the gauge read FULL... Could there be air in the system, or do I have a system issue here? Any ideas? Thanks in advance! Brian |
Re: AC gauge showing FULL but not blowing cold
could be moisture, the receiver dryer, or any number of things, to be honest you might have more than necessary. since you know, you didn't do an Evac and recharge....

Ok. Is this something I should have a shop do? I have messed around with pretty much everything except AC. My CRX did not have AC when I bought it...
