OK I have a 99 EK hatch with a 99 gsr stock motor and tranny. The other day wile doing about 45mph I down shifted to pass some jack @$$. when the car bobed down and i couldnt speed up I heard a weired muffled noise and I pulled over, The car was running like streight shit so i shut it off. Since then she turns over fine but wont start. I have checked the usual stuff: timing belt, shes on time and not 180 out, good spark and even changed the spark plugs. did a compression test found number one to be a little low but still good. swaped ecu's and not getting any cells. I even removed the intake manifold to check for clogs and checked engine harness for possible frayed wires. I am mechanically inclined but it seems like i have reached my limit someone please help.

Have you swapped the main relay with a known good one and is the fuel pump priming?

Thanks for the swift response! i pointed the injectors straight up to ensure the pump was priming and after launching the injectors and spreding fuel every where i am pretty confident fuel pump works. Didnt check the main relay due to having spark and fuel. but i guess i will give it a shot

I keep thinking maybe i bent a valve but i didnt jump timing? and before i go tearing my motor appart i would love more ideas help me va peeps.

did it through a CEL? if so check that first.

Did you check that? Might be worth it to take the belt off put everything how it should be and put it back on. Also try taking off the valve cover and having look you might see somthing and try turing the crank by hand and see if it turns easy maybe have somone turn it for you and check while the valve cover is off.
