That's wrong. It CAN be the distro, but not always.

Reasons I've incountered when a car was not firing on all cylinders:
1. clogged injector(s)
2. messed up plug wire(s)

If it's something in the bottom end, drain the oil, and take a magnet and hold it in the oil as it's draining out (could get messy) and if there's metal shavings on it, you're screwed. If you've got a magnetic drain plug, you don't have to do the magnet thing?
