98 integra power steering problem

So my car is making the noise when its low on power steering fluid. So I put some in the reservoir and is still making the noise. Just looking for some information on what it could be

It could be the pump going bad... They are prone to go bad and burn up when low on fluid ..

See if the belt needs replacing too. I don't really know which noise you're talking about though. Is it noisy during turning or noisy all the way at the end of the rack travel or noisy all the time?

You may also have an air bubble in the pump and/or lines and it may take a bit to work it's way out so keep on top of filling it up and if it never stops losing fluid... time to look for a leak.

try changing out the O-rings for the high pressure feed line(from pump to rack) and the lower hose(from reservoir to pump) - its possible that they are dry rotted and allowing air to get into the system - I changed these out a lot at work on all different models of acuras and the noise will go away majority of the time - try looking at your fluid while the car is running and/or turning the wheel and see if the p/s fluid is bubbly at all - if so u have air in ur system
