like the title says i got a 97 ex coupe that idles around 200 if not lower i was wondering if anyone had some input. ive done some research but havent found a deffinitive answer yet if anyone could give me some input it would be appreciated.

stock car? have you ever adjusted the idle screw? is there a excess of slack on the cable

yeah stock y8 and havent touched it heard you had too do more than just turn the screw or it would mess with a/f ratio and ill double check the cable for slack... my pedal is a little sticky

swap out your throttle body and all sensors related(should not be hard to find or expensive)....you can totally adjust the idle screw without affecting the motor(idk about long term but it doesnt throw any codes for)...

Stupid question, but are you sure you're not reading 700 instead of 200 on the tachometer? Many tachs have the first tick mark at 500 RPM instead of 0 RPM.

i had acoupe do this to me afew times, weirdas shit, it just tends to hum like 200rpms. try cleaning the inside of your TB. also try using some sea foam in the main vac line on the back of the intake manifold. hope this helps!

or just clean the throttle body to see if that helps, or your IACV or PCV might need replacing or could possibly be a vaccum leak.. A low idle could be a number of things so start with the cheapest and work your way up..
