95 240sx has no heat maybe previous owners can help me
I just got Projekt's old s14 so maybe you or spindrift187 know whats up just wondering if either of you has found out why the heat doesn't work. i thought it was fine but damn is it cold out today. the most it blows is kind of warm air if anyone else has a reason why it may only blow kind of warm let me know. i dont have the time to fuck with it to find the problem so any ideas or actual solutions would be great cuz its f%$#@ing cold out today.

theres a valve in the heater core hoses connected by a sheathed steel rod to the heat temp lever in the car. most likely thats broken, move the valve under the hood near the heater core manually.

Step 1 = check coolant level in radiator.
Coolant goes (basically without looking, so give me a break if I miss something) ->radiator -> engine -> heater core under glovebox - > back to radiator
In other words, if you have no hot air, your coolant/antifreeze is not making it to the heater core. The valve mentioned above could also restrict flow into the core.

Jerry is the guy I bought it from, it had no t-stat in it when I got it(im guessing you got your cars mixed up ) so I put in an advance auto t-stat and it started overheating on me, then put in a OEM nissan t-stat and had no problems since. Heat was always so-so on it and after having it looked over it was apparent it is the cable greaser is talking about.
