94 Pontiac Firebird V6
My sister has a 94 pontiac firebird v6. Im here visiting from Florida and the car has to be able to be driven 1000 miles back to Florida by the end of the month.
While starting the car, it takes a couple of cranks to get it going. When it starts up it wreaks of fuel. So i checked the plugs, they were ok. I changed them anyway along with wires. It still takes a couple of times to crank up, i checked for any fuel leaks and couldn't find anyway. I figured the fuel system was losing its prime.
When you bring the rpms up to about 3000, right around the catalyctic converter you hear a loud raspy sound. It wont do it unless i hit it right on 3000 or higher.
Could the catalyctic converter be the problem?
