Default 94 dx coupe vtec issue
i have a b16a n my civic and for like the first five minutes vtec does not work what can i do to correct this oil level is fine

What kind of oil are you using, and is your coolant temp gauge working properly?

Does Vtec work when the car reaches normal Temp ? Vtec wont work when the engines cold.

i am using royal purple 5w 30 and yes coolant and temp guage works properly. I will get my mechanic to clean my vtec filter for me i dont know how to do it and it will be free soooo. Yes it works when car reaches optimum temp......

Vtec wont cross over when the car is cold. Clean the filter and whatnot see if it helps.

vtec will not cross over when car is below a certain temp. as stated. your car is ok bro
