Default 93 Honda Civic DX d15b7

I just bought this thing and it started up fine when it was warm after I burned the gas in it that had gone bad. Now when its near freezing or below the car will not start. It cranks but will not start. Anyone got any ideas??

Bad main relay on older Hondas usually, esp in colder weather situations.

$15/25 bucks. Sounds a lot like some of the symptoms I've had with my Hondas, and they turned out to be a bad main relay.

That's usually much easier to diagnose than a main relay problem. It's either a radiator problem, a water pump problem, or a thermostat problem. Thermostat is cheap and easy to replace. If it only overheats while sitting still, it's either the fan thermoswitch (very common problem) or the fan (or the fan relay).

Or, a blown headgasket. But there would be more symptoms than just overheating...

That's a primary reason that a lot of people sell their cars for cheap. Luckily its a Honda so parts and engines are plentiful.

yep. debating now as to whether to replace the head gasket or just get another d15 and swap the whole motor.
