91 accord making knocking noise
Hey, my friend has a 1991 honda acord EX 5spd, and he told me to take it out to see what I think is wrong with it and this is the symptoms i got, when your just sitting there it shakes a little, has a rough idle, sometimes it wont allow you to rev past 3500, when you from first to second at around 2000rpm it makes like a continuous knocking type of noise, but only when you press the accelerator. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I would say hot
It would be pretty much considered hot because it has to be driving for like a couple of minutes at the most for you to hear it. Any ideas?

my car has a slight knocking noise but if I let it idle for 5 minutes beoore I drive after it has been sitting for a fewe hours it doesnt do it...I am thikning with my car it is the oil pump starting to wear out.

Hey, what kind of things should I check for, I am bring it to my school shop and putting it on the hoiste tomorrow. It only makes the noise around 40km/h (i'm in canada) and never in first gear, and sometimes takes a little bit for the noise to start. Any other ideas?
