90 CRX DX won't Run Help!
ok I have a 90 CRX DX and I just put a replacement motor in it. My old motor through a rod. The motor is the stock D15B2 DPI. It has spark, its getting fuel, and have compression. I installed a new water pump and timing belt before I put in it and I followed the Haynes Manual. And set piston one to TDC and the cam gear per the book instructions with the lines across the top of the head and the "up" up. It will turn over and it seems like it wants to start but just wont take off. I have messed with the dizzy and moved it back and forth and it seems to want to run better from the center to toward the fire wall. ANY HELP IS GREATLY APPRECIATED. Thanks

timing belt could be off by one tooth and cause you hell usually in the manuals theres a step that tells to to turn the crank by one tooth make sure you did it perfect shit can be picky as a bitch

First i would start to check for bad grounds/missing grounds first .. the one on the thermostat housing has kept me stumped a few times when i first started with honda's lol that might just be my problem i had though lol. Also when u put the bottom end to tdc did you check the crank gear and line up the " line " on the crank gear with the the " arrow " thats casted on the oil pump? Best thing to do first is pull the crank pulley, line up the crank gear like i just said, then check the cam gear line with the head since u now know the crank is 100% perfect .If those lines are all lined up perfect while ur belt is on you know its not a timing problem. good luck
