73 beetle reverse switch?

Default 73 beetle reverse switch?
Every time I put the car into reverse, it stalls out. I was told the reverse switch was grounding out and needed replacing. The car continued to do the same thing even with the new switch so I must have some thing wired wrong, but I can't figure out what. Anyone have any suggestions?

i can't its my sisters wedding present. I have put 5 grand into fixing it in the last 2 months and was supposed to be delivering it this evening!
