Default 300zx brake problems

So today I decided to go ahead and install my 300zx brakes and 5 lug swap onto my s13. We got everything together, but once I got to the point where I was mounting the caliper onto the rotor and spindle, the fit was VERY snug. Like I sort of had to beat it down with my palm thinking it will be snug temporarily. The hub itself wouldnt move at all, but like I said, I was thinking it was going to be temporary bc everything is new. I'm pretty sure that I have 30 mm alum calipers and that I'm using a 30 mm rotor. Once everything was bolted up and the brakes were bled, I tried to go out and bed the brakes, but there was ridiculous amount of grinding, brakes were locked in the same closed position so I stopped and reversed back into my spot to be safe. I figured I'll just remove the rotors tomorrow and have them machined down a bit unless I totally have incompatible parts.

Here's the stuff that I'm using

these are the calipers I bought; on importnuts page it says that 26 mm only came on the 90 NA, but these are claimed to be from a 90 TT so theyre supposedly 30 mm

I'm using Axxis Ultimate brake pads I bought from thmotorsports on here, with brake quiet applied behind em.

and these are the rotors I'm using

Beck Arnley 080-2386 which I know fits 30 mm calipers bc theyre used from 91 up.

It's dark outside so I'm going to measure the actual width tomorrow and compare to importnuts measurements.

What do you guys think? I actually have 26 mm? rotors are wrong? just keep pushing the car til it fits right? Thx in advance.

edit I also installed a 17/16 BMC

Measure the inside of the calipers to make sure you have 30s. You never know. Go from there.

What hubs are you using? if they are ishiba hubs you have to use the oem clip. Do a quick search and you will see what im talking about.

Nah, I'm using the s14 lcas with hubs/spindles.

I measured today and they ended up being 1 3/16" wide aka 26 mm rotors.

False advertisement. Then again it was my fault for not checking once I got em. I got new rotors coming in tomorrow so I should be fine.

New question.. are my brake pads fucked? or should I be fine?

They should be fine as long as they are not grooved.

SO you have the 26mm caliper with a 30mm rotor?

You can also take the 30mil rotors to a decent brake shop and have the resurface them...basically shave off couple mil . Although this may not yield good results. The cooling space between two disc halfs may make be diff size between 26 and 30mm. So in the end they may be more prone to warping.

Just some food for thought.

Yea I was thinking about that.. but I know that with rotors you have to maintain a minimum thickness and the 30 mm rotor minimum thickness was 28 mm.
