where is the fill plug for the tranny in a 91 240?

 

Take out the shifter and fill it from the top.

 

-take needle nose pliers pinch ring
-stick in screw driver and assist it out lift off shifter
-pour

 

fill plug is on the drivers side near the bell housing. i have the b&m and taking that thing in and out is a bitch. i took off the shifter dust cover and ran a thick ass hose down to the fill hole, it doesnt take long at all. put a funnel at the end and add gear oil till it starts comming out the hole, should be about 2.5 quarts. make sure the car is level when youre filling it and jack up on the drivers side when you recap the fill hole. from driving in and out my friends garage it took about 20 mins. even if you do the shifter thing i would take off the fill plug to make sure it gets filled to the correct level. good luck.
