from my understanding they are a cheap solution to high comp pistons. I looked into an all motor KA myself and if you jus want something quick with good response cool, but for actual speed I wouldnt.

if you want more power for an all motor ka, its something you can do to make more power. But it requires a standalone, or a rom tune thats gonna have to be done on a dyno.
i basically did this about a year ago, had enthalpy set me up with a rom tuned ecu and it still knocked. situational adversity made me pull the setup for stock dohc and sold the car.
But if you do this, you should be doing a ported head, some high lift cams .500 + ( custom, highest lift cam available to the public is .4~~) and a bunch of other supporting mods. aka spending alot of money.

If you want some DOHC power you could always swap out your cams. Get a 91-93 Ka24de exhaust cam and put it in place of your intake cam. You have to reinstall it 4 teeth counter clockwise from the original position. Other then that, it drops right in, and is much cheaper then the nismo or jwt cams.

They sell 10.5:1 and 14:1 compression DOHC pistons (supertech I believe) on ebay . Might as well turbo if your paying 500 bucks for pistons anyway though.
