Re: 2003 G35 valve cover gasket
I havent looked at it yet, ive got a great deal of mechanical knowledge, my step dad wants them done. Does he need to purchase any intake gaskets as well? I know hos nissan likes to run intake manis, and plennums over the vcs?

Yes, you have to split the upper intake to get them off; as such you need a new gasket. Its really easy, just a lot of bolts.

Re: 2003 G35 valve cover gasket
pull cylinder 5 and 6 coil to make sure the plug seals arn't leaking before you get too involved in it, if they are leaking you will need new valve covers which isn't that bad they are only about 140 bucks each depending on what dealer your going to and most have them in stock the only tip i can give you is make sure you have bank 1 gasket in correctly and it dosn't slip out of the groove when you go to bolt it down thats the only thing that can really bite you in the ass on the job otherwise for a first timer shouldn't take too long. i have done probably around 50 sets give or take
