Default 2001 Prelude no fuel/spark

Okay. First things first. Car is a 2001 Prelude Base 5 speed. Bought as a shell. Previous motor threw a rod.

Friend of mine had a 98 5speed that had a perfectly fine jdm h22a swap. He got t-boned.

I pulled said JDM H and wiring harness and put it in the 2001 shell.

Everything is there. Ecus are JDM OR USDM. Both do the same thing.

Fuel pump primes, injectors don't pulse. No spark coming from dist. Tried a dist. Off a running car, same thing.

All grounds are there. Kinda lost at this point. car was bough as a shell and I have no idea what was unplugged

Check the "Main Relay" under the dash. It's silver or brown and its big. These go out all the time on Preludes. They work with the ECU for pulse, spark and some other things. It's a pretty big relay, you can't miss it. Usually the thin connection breaks in the middle. You have to get one from Pick N Pull or dealer I think because typical parts stores don't have it. Or...if you are good at soldering, just reconnect the points so they touch. Good luck.

I thought of that and really have been too lazy to mess with it.
ONLY because it's priming the pump.

All the ones I've had blown on me would still prime the pump. When that relay goes, it will act really strange. It will confuse the shit outta you depending on how bad the connection is. Half the people out there don't even know it exists. LOL

Wait, which wiring harness did you use? I'm not too familiar with preludes, but as far as civic's and integra's you are supposed to use the harness that is in the car and add wires/plugs if necessary. (At least this is what I was always told and have always done) I'm not sure if preludes have the obd2a and obd2b. Maybe it could be something related to this?

Both are obd2a harnesses. SH has extra plugs.

Tried an OBD1 ecu in it. Nothing.
