Default 2001 Eclipse Spyder gs trans. problem

Ok heres the deal I drove to Deep Creek today from about the Lynnhaven mall. Turned my car off for about 10 minutes and the whole way back to my place(by the mall) the trans was hard to shift into 1st and kinda down shift to 2nd. It also makes a loud squealing sound when I push the clutch in. I can also smell the clutch disc burning. I cant figure out why it would change so much in a matter of minutes. Any ideas? tranny fluid is fine. Never had any problems with it but i have only had it for about a month. I think it might have been the 10 hour trip to Florida. Does anyone know whats wrong or know how to fix it? Please let me know asap Thanks yall.

your car isn't going to tell you "hey when you come back i'm gonna be broke" shit happens and when they break you wont expect it. I'm leaning towards the throw out bearing if its squealing. its not letting the clutch to engage or disengage. possibly your pressure plate also. how old is your clutch in it now? Does the pedal feel the same? if it does its probably not your slave cylinder. just some things to rack your brain with.

Ok so Im kinda getting pissed off at this shop(American Transmission Center). I dropped my car off going on 3 days now and they said that they would have it done that day or the next. They told me it was the clutch and that they would put it in for about $875 i was like damn but i guess i have to. Ok so they got it put in today and called me and they were like so ummm we got the clutch all in and you now need the master and slave cylinder thats going to cost and extra well to much. Im kinda thinking they ripped me off with just saying I need a clutch and I could have been good with just the master/slave... that do you all think?
