Default 2000 Civic EX - Timing HELP!

I have a friend that is in need of a timing belt and tensioner to be installed in her vehicle. She has the parts and she needs someone to come by and put them in. I would if I had all of my tools to do the job.

If someone could help her by installing these parts so she can get her car back on the road please PM me asap. Let me know your availability and how much with a way to contact you.

Thanks alot!

Peace,
E

I'm going to find out where the car is tomorrow. I'm not sure if it is at her place or not.

Thanks!

Why does she need a new belt and tensioner?

If the belt, or tensioner failed, it's already too late for that. That d16 is an interference motor, those valves are dunzo.

You cannot just assume the head/engine is trashed if the belt broke. I have gotten lucky very many times, I also believe dorko had gotten lucky a while back with a crx timing belt. Just because it is an interference engine, doesn't mean it bends valves 100/100 times.

Mitsubishis/kias/Dodges are more of the less "luckier ones"

We've done many timing belt jobs this year.

Ok folks, the car is located near Holland Road and South Plaza Trail. Let me know what you can do and definitely a number to contact you. I will pass on your information to her, and her alone, so you two can work out the details.

Thanks a million!
