wondering the performance of the 1 mz in the toyota solara? I was also wondering if the 1mz for the solara and camry had compatible aftermarket parts. thanx before hand.

i am not aware of performance parts (cams/headers ect) for the 1MZFE, however, the solara, camry, and sienna 1MZ interchange as a longblock. but they have to match (ie. no VVTi or VVTi). you cant swap btwn the two.

well are heads interchangable to make it vvti like say i put a 3mz head on a 1mz block?

they are, but you would prolly just be better off getting the VVTi engine as a whole. many times you can get them from US salvage with uncut harnesses. remember ecu is different too.
