Default 1990 Ford F 150 problems

The truck will run for about 20-30 minutes before it just completely shuts off and it doesn't start for a couple hours afterwards. Ive replaced the Fuel Filter, Fuel Pump, and Cleaned the gas tank. Its gotten to the point where the truck doesn't even start now and I'm running out of ideas. Any suggestions would help and be appreciated. Thank you. The truck is a 1990 Ford F 150 V-6.

It's probably the ignition module. Go bad in the old trucks all the time.

You can't bypass the igniton module. It goes to the computer.

gotcha, our 86 ford we can do this but it's carb also. We had the switch go out and was able to cross over the terminals on the ignition module in the engine bay and got it to fire.

They can be really tricky sometimes. But they go bad a lot. It could be the pick up in the distributor but I highly doubt it.

So we replaced the Ignition Module and the battery for shits and giggles and it started, which is great, till we got to the stop sign and it shut back off. My step dad said to just try to get it to a shop because we are tired of trying every random thing lol. thanks for the help though.

did you replace the box with a new one or a used one...

and WHEN it wont start do you actually pull a spark plug wire and see if your losing fire or are you just guessing
