Default 1989 Honda Civic Si Hatchy - Taking off Headlights!

So yeah, I bought some projector headlights because I didn't feel like getting my lens all cleaned up, and I got them for a real good deal...

Anyways, on a EF Hatch, does the bumper have to come off to get the headlights out? It looks like the metal piece that runs on top of the bumper should pop off to access the bolts, but it's dark now and I was hoping to tackle it tomorrow, any help, forums with pictures, etc, etc... would be appreciated

THANKS

The easiest and fastest way I have done headlight swaps was taking the whole bumper off with the bumper support.

Unscrew the bumper from the fender (phillips screws)

then take the bumper lights out

access the two 12-14 mm bolts holding the support on
unscrew those

take bumper off.......

and easy access.

I see the two bolts on the metal frame, 2 stacked vertical, can't break that with the angle trying to go in through the bumper lights, I got the corner light off, the bolt holding the headlight to the metal frame off in there, the top bolts, the headlight is wiggling right now but, that final bolt is holding it, guess the bumper may have to come off

12in. extension and a swivel saved me from having to remove the bumper

Roger that, I got it, bumper coming off was fairly easy actually, I expected it to be a pain in the ass but, it wasn't that bad, one of the two bolt holes was stripped, so I'll have to re-tap it eventually, but everythings installed, I dig the projectors, need some fine tuning + PIAA's

can't wait

thanks for help guys
