Default 1984 TT 300zx motor swap question

My uncle has a 1984 TT 300zx its the anniversary addition , he said he would sell it to me for 500$ and i asked him whats wrong with it and he said its gonna need a motor swap soon , i tryed using google to figure out what motors could be put in the car , but i didnt find anything . So if anybody knows what motors could be put in the car or any helpful information please post

for one its not a twin turbo, replace the stock motor and call it a day

i'm assuming it runs now since he said it will need "one soon". So if you can get your hands on a car that runs for 500$ i'd take it. Than as others suggested drop the TT motor in there when you have the time/money.

They use a VG30ET not the VG30DETT. You should swap that in they can make some good power when done right... also go to www.300zxclub.com theres a lot of info there.

thanks for all of your help , i think i am going to get it and do the motor swap, any idea of where i can get a vg30et?

the best swap for that car - VG33E out of a pathfinder, frontier or exterra. It's the same exact block and all the factory turbo parts bolt on, as does the factory wiring and ecu, or you could go w/ a standalone and big turbo, injectors and intercooler and call it a day. You get something like 9.0:1 compression w/ an extra .3L and it'll hold boost all day long. you can find more info at http:www.z31.com/board

it's NOT a TT, does it even have A turbo? you look under the hood? You know what your getting into?
