01 gsr problem...need help
I got a 01 gsr teg. As I was driving, the car shut off on me. Kinda spuddered the went off. All lights on dash work and it cranks but not start. Endless crank... all fuses are good. Pulled up seat to listen to the fuel pump and you can hear it when u turn the key. It has gas. What can be the issue? Its raining if that poses an issue but it never had an issue in the rain the last few days and its still all stock

Re: 01 gsr problem...need help
Probably one (or even a small combo) of the following:
Cap Rotor Ign coil ICM Take the cap off of the distributor and see what it looks like under there. Edit. Also, make sure the distributor is plugged in. I had my plug on my civic come loose some how once. |
Re: 01 gsr problem...need help
Did check if everything was connected n it still was.

More than likely its the distributor...Most common thing to go bad on honda acura is the main relays and distributor...

Re: 01 gsr problem...need help
So if cap n rotor is still good then all I would need is the dizzy.

If you have one of the intakes that goes into the wheel well and have no inner fender it will suck up water in rain and make it bog. Dunno of that's your problem but it could be part of your problem. Celica came into my work and had that's problem it kept bogging out in the rain on him. Just a thought

Re: 01 gsr problem...need help
Yea it came with an aem that goes into the wheel well but it has a water catch thing in the middle of the tube. I haven't had this issue in the rain yet and i didnt go thru any puddles. It just wont start. Just an endless crank. Fuel pump primes. Fuses r good. Im going to try an see if I have spark then check the cap and rotor.

Might be flooded too. But yeah get rid of that intake as soon as you can they are no good and make no power at all.

Re: 01 gsr problem...need help
I plan on boosting it anyways. I dont like it. Doubt its flooded. But u never know. Ima check a few things an repost my results an see where it leads me
