i'm trying to find out the max horsepower that i can get if i boost an ls with the basic mods? will a boosted ls beat a boosted b16? post what you know...thanx

 

You're comparing apples to oranges. Boosted non-vtec 1.8 vs. a boosted 1.6L vtec motor. You can't safely say how much a car will put down without knowing what all you're doing. I mean are you boosting a stock motor? How much boost? What are you supporting mods? Are you getting it tuned?

There are plenty of guys that can give you a roundabout number, but you need to let them know more details.

 

Well, since I've only seen 5000hp come out of a 4 cylinder piston motor, I'm gonna say the absolute maximum you could possibly achieve is 4999hp. Of course, it probably will fall short of that by a few thousand hp, but that is the max.

What do u mean by basic mods? are u putting on some headers and a cai? What size wastegate and Which turbo: T18, T21, or a T3/4?

 

how the hell are you gonna run a header and cai on a boosted ls?
