well i decided to break down and go test drive the new cobalt ss, and i was pretty dissapointed on its get up.....but i do have to say the car handled pretty well, and had a very smooth ride. the transmission felt good, i didnt like the clutch to much, the stereo is awesome, and i like the interior styling. The car is fairly quiet, and when i got on it i felt like i was going to break it. but overall i think the car is nice, i just wouldnt pay the price that is on it, i am more in love with my SRT4.... my srt is much much more fun to drive.

yeah thats why i drove the cobalt, i think the cobalt has a shit load of potential, and there will be some fast ones. i just have more fun in my srt thats is all

 

The SRT lineup makes the SS lineup looking like a steaming pile of shit. This is coming from a chevy man too.

He liked the gearing and the neatness of the tranny but the clutch was too soft..

 

I've heard talk of how good they handle compared to SRT4's, but I think people underestimate the handling of SRT4's due to the fact that they have the center of gravity of a dumptruck. They sure as hell arent winning Touring II with shitty handling, and its definitely not the power thats making them win against M3's, LS1's, and tons of other cars.

 

5Spd GT's seems to make alot of noise, Tranny noise.. Cant tell if its the clutch or shifter or what.

 

It's a Ford Tranny, did you seriously expect it to be good?
