First off I know joey frequents this board, so I kind of am aiming it towards him as he might have some experience perhaps, but my friend's 4.3L sonoma just randomly has been cutting out recently. Like he will be driving and it will suddenly just kill itself and die. The car can be idling in a parking lot, and will fire up perfectly fine, and then it will suddenly cut out. It doesnt appear to run rough otherwise, and we really are clueless as to places to look, as personally I dont have anything to really inspect his car with to give ideas as to what to look for. Any clue? 30k Miles old, so its pretty much a new truck, and its completely stock.

How can I do this? It actually seems that his car acted up when it heated up, once he let it cool down it started acting normal again.
Well...basically just replace it. But you can monitor it and see if it "clicks" abotu the time the truck dies.
Sorry, I don't know where it's located on that truck, but I imagine a google could find it.

He just put up the "Bed" away message, but its an auto, 4.3L, and I'm going to say 02+, rwd with 4wd capability. Its completely stock and like I said around 30k miles.
what exactly is it doing? is the tach not working when it dies? can you hear the fuel pump whine? is it stumbling?
CEL on?
its not a "main relay"-GM's dont use that style. they use a fuel pump relay, but not a main injection one like most imports do.
i can give you some info for the GM dealer we have warranty work done with if you would like, and get him an appt. if you would like.
