I'm just curious, but has anyone ever tried to get the Tech Airport to let us drag up and down the runway? It definitely is long enough, and if we signed waivers I don't see why they should have a problem.

 

From what I've heard, the CCVT has asked before in the past and they just laughed at us....but I agree, its not like they have a fuckload of airtraffic coming in there, I don't see what the problem is....i think they are just being ass's and not even considering it

 

I don't think they even let the formula team on there anymore.

Blind? retarded? which is it? U can see it from 460 going towards campus from CBurg....its on the right hand side, how in the world can u miss it???

 

or just go down the road that parallels Cassel Col. and when u get to the parking lot behind the football stadium....keep going straight, go across South Gate Dr., its back there man, u can't miss it

Not possible, it's been tried. They won't let autoXs or anything on there.

Though feel free to ask you may be able to convince em.

But seriously, u've never noticed it while u're on 460? I've got a friend who is taking flying lessons up there, I asked him how big the runway is and he said plenty big, he said that they could close half of it and still be fine, so I don't see what their problem is. I just think they have a stick up their ass.
