my carbon fiber lip will be here in 3 days, im kinda scared cuz ive heard of how a lot of them dont fit very well. anybody on here have one besides RevTechSi[i think thats his name?] and if it didnt fit, is there a way to make it fit w/o cracking/breaking it?

 

i dont know about CF lips.. im sure its the same thing, but when I worked at a shop in FL some kits had to be left in the sun for a day or two and/or heated with a heatgun to wrap PERFECTLY around edges..

 

to bad we dont hav ethe sun like florida to warm the glue up

ive heard of abs and other plastic product being heat treated for a better fit... but carbon fiber.... isnt that kinda a fit no fit situation? who did you get it through?

 

you need a heat gun i think to strech it out...pm evo rex he needed his lip for his wrx fixed and was tellin me he needed a heat gun to strech it out or something...

 

If you go over the heat deflection temperature of the resin, it will turn plastic and be slightly formable.. You can really easily change the physical properties of the resin at the same time, and make the resin weak... Be careful..
