have a 96 accord and my a/c dosen't work...i juss wanna get it fixed 4 next summer...but i bought a new (used) compressor, i charged freon over and over again....still dosen't work. I dunno if its electrical or what?!? Anyone know how i can find out if i juss bought a busted compressor or if it is an electrical problem....

Don't they sell something at a local auto parts store to test your AC? I know nothing about it, I took mine out and it probably won't ever go back in.

 

Shit i dunno either..i got pissed one day and ripped the hoses out of my civic lol..but all i no is the compresser is one of many parts having to do with ac./need more info yo

 

Yea, you can put UV dye in it, use a black light and it shows you the leak, but thats not what he needs

 

ok. does the comperssor cycle on at all??

if it doesnt , check under the hood in your fuse panel , most likely its a relay/fuse issue.

if the compressor cycles fine, and your still not feeling cool/cold air then your low on freon and if you are low that usually means you have a leak in the system. yes they do have a dye you can put into the system but i would suggest the spray. you spray the hoses comperssor , condensor coil, everything involved with the ac system.

check these things out and get back to me

 

it cycles for about 3 seconds... then it stops...cycles then stops repeatedly...i brought it to a mechanic and said it was the compressor 4 months ago...obviously it isn't...i juss hope i didn't buy another broken one!! den i wasted $150...it cycles but not for long so it could be a fuse problem..
