Default Need a shooter!! (Painter)

I am trying to find someone that is reputable in painting motorcycles. I have an 88 Hurricane that desperately needs painted. I can get the fairings paint ready or would pay someone to do that as well. I spoke with D&D and they have a $925, entire bike special (includes plastic welding), which isn't bad at all. But trying to justify that to the wifey is the prob!! Anyone intersted or know anyone that may be interested? Maybe even another local shop.

$925 seems kind of high to me...Should be about $200-$300 if the fairings are not broken.

depends on if that price includes all the prep (remove the fairings, removing of stickers, wet sanding, etc) and primer, paint, clearcoat. it adds up. but 900 does seem high.. but 200-300 is low...

WTF, no way. I've seen some 200-300 dollar bike jobs...and well, yeah its definetly 200-300 dollar quality as well.

Tnorris, your probably looking at 500-600 to fix the plastic and paint. What's wrong? Tabs broke off? Fairings ruffed up? I need to get an idea in my head what these things look like.

Majority of the plastic is good to go, just needed to be roughed up and sprayed the new color. However, my Upper has a couple of cracks that needs to be repaired. No tabs broken off, just a couple of cracks and one corner is broken off (about a 3"X3" piece). Nothing major. I am willing to do some of the prep work.

Here is a link to another forum of which I posted the actual pics of the fairings.

Ouch damn man, thats a lot of work. If you can get someone to do some plastic welding and fix the tabs, the cracks arent a problem fixing. I have some shit for plastic which ill spread on the inside that helps bond it. I'm not saying im good, and i know i can do a little here and there to make it work, but having it welding would be the route i'd go and I have no experience in that at all. Like i said, if you can find someone to do that stuff for you, I'd be more than glad to spray it for you

I finally found someone that was willing to take on the task of making something out of nothing. Check out this link to see the great work that Empiregp.com did on my fairings. You will be shocked. Also check out the shaved turn signals on the Upper. Great job empiregp.com!!
