anyone work at best buy? im bout to start working there next month at the new store by cheasapeake square mall. i was wondering if anyone knew what discounts you get on purchases. i heard that you pay 10% above store cost and ive also heard that you just get 10% off. someone let me know whats up

 

10% above what they buy it at..so it depends..on tvs and radio stuff and computers u get a huge discount..i think its like 50%..but off video games and dvds' and such its like i think 5 or 6 dollars

 

ok thats cool. do they have to order the stuff or is it something you can get right away? cause i know that when i worked at lowes we would only get it at 10% over cost if it was a special order. im also trying to figure out if you can order other stuff through best buy and get a discount.

 

you dont have to wait..if its on the self its yours..and yes you still get the discount if u order special...btw..it sucks working there

 

foreal, it does suck working there, but they told us it was 5% on top of what best buy gets it for, so car stereo shit is like 50% off, car alarms are like 70% off and games and cds and dvds are like 1-5 dollars off, it all depends on what u get

I work at Radio Shack and its a lot better. I get commision plus 30% off Radio Shack stuff and 10% off all other brand stuff.

 

how much u get per hour and for commission at radio shack?!!??!
